Dan Yomi (He/Him)

Founder/Director – Living Free U.K

Dan (also known as Daniel Oluyomi Asaya) is a Nigerian Gay Man who gained recognition after conversations of his coming out to his family on Social Media got publicity on international media. Prior to this, he was elected 1st Black President of Bournemouth University Students’ Union and served as Chair of the Board of Trustees for two years. He has since featured in various prominent news articles and currently works full time as a Recruitment Consultant and volunteers on the Board of Directors for House of Rainbow. Dan is passionate about Equality, Representation & Mental Health Awareness.

Bandy Kiki (She/Her)

Director – Living Free U.K

Bandy Kiki is an LGBTIQ+ rights activist, Cameroonian Public figure, and Founder of Kikum Consulting – a marketing and branding consultancy; Co-Founder of Rem Clan – a gender-neutral online apparel clothing company inspired by everything LGBTIQ+ and African. Kiki is also a Trustee for two other U.K Charities.

Nathan Xero (He/Him)

Head of Productions – Living Free U.K

Nathan joined Living Free in the winter of 2019, he is responsible for the quality and range of productions produced by Living Free with Dan.

Previously a development producer Nathan is working to ensure LFWD’s message of love, encouragement and acceptance is available to all.

Helen Adeola (She/Her)

Events Coordinator – Living Free U.K

Helen Adeola identifies as a Nigerian-Italian Queer woman advocating for equality of the marginalized sexual minorities and for focus on allyship-building through patient education and open conversations rid of judgement or denunciation. Her hope is to support works of activism get the reach they deserve to uplift struggling LGBTQIA+ individuals and their reconciling families.

Vanessa Nwosu (She/Her)

Writer – Living Free U.K

Vanessa is a Nigerian Queer woman who studied Political Science from Madonna University in Nigeria and currently has passion to amplify the voices of LGBTIQ+ Africans and people seeking asylum in the U.K. Through writing, she wishes to address the issues faced by immigrants seeking freedom based on their sexuality or gender identity. Vanessa is also a Feminist.  

Mike Daemon (He/Him)

Digital & Creative Associate – Living Free U.K

Mike is an out gay Nigerian journalist and an LGBTIQ+ human rights activist with extensive knowledge in new media. Outside of his work with Living Free U.K, Daemon serves as the Executive Director of NoStrings Development Initiative, a Nigeria-based LGBTIQ+ non-profit working to promote the visibility and human rights of LGBTIQ+ persons in Nigeria.
